Attention All Men…
It was the most powerful movie event in a generation. It is still the highest grossing R-rated
movie of all time. For those who saw it, it was one of the most moving experiences of their lives.
And it brought Catholics an appreciation of what Christ did for us in a very intense way.
It is Mel Gibson’s movie the Passion of the Christ, and the St. Lawrence Men’s Fellowship will be
doing a Lenten study of the meaning of Christ’s Passion using short clips from the DVD to help
facilitate.
We’ll start on Ash Wednesday, February 17 at 6 a.m. in the Knights of Columbus Back Hall and on Saturday,
February 20, 8a.m. at the Parish Library. Come to the time slot which best fits your schedule.
We’ll continue the study during each of the meetings we have during Lent:

Living Through Grief
Living Through Grief is a six week
grief support group for adults ages
18 and over and is being offered at
St. Lawrence Parish for free. If you
have lost a parent, spouse, sibling,
child, friend, or other loved one
through death, we offer support as
you go through the grieving process.
Living Through Grief will provide information on grief
including:
*Stages of Grief
*Symptoms of Grief (physically, mentally and
emotionally)
*How do we grieve?
*Rights and Wrongs of Grieving
Group participants will also have the opportunity to
share their story, in a comfortable, confidential setting,
and discuss their grief with others who are experiencing
similar feelings.
Two group times are being offered.
Group 1:
Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Interactive Weekend for
Widowed Men and Women
The annual Widowed Friends Interactive Weekend will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday, April 17–18. The week -end will include speakers, small group discussion, a healing service, Mass, and several meals. It will be held at St. Kieran Parish, 53600 Mound Road, in Shelby Township. feel good! This is good clean fun for the whole family in
a REAL Night Club setting. Anyone and everyone is
invited! This is not limited to parishioners! If you can
enjoy this kind of night – you are old enough to come!
