St. Lawrence Catholic Community
| RETURN TO MAIN PAGE |

St. Lawrence's youth group, aimed at kids in the 7th and 8th grades, meets most every other Friday night from 7-8:30 p.m. during the school year, gathering in the "Sanctuary", our youth group room in the Youth Ministry Center.

Heavenly Helpers

We don't sit at desks
We don't crack open a text book
We mix it up, offering opportunities to learn about
the Catholic faith and how it fits into our lives.
We build community with one another.

There are no cliques here; no one is ostracized or squeezed out. We serve others, and step up at the ready to roll up our sleeves with Christian service projects and hands-on work.

If we talk about "Gossip", we look at what Scripture says about it; what Christ thought about it; how it hurts others; how it has residual effects even if you say you are sorry. And finally, we might nail a cow tongue to a board with big, long, silver nails – and make a commitment to keep our own tongues in check and to work at living like Christ did.

Friends are always welcome,
and they don't have to be Catholic.
We always have great food, fun, friends and faith!
